Public Finance
The firm represents municipalities as Co-Bond Counsel and public corporations as Co-Underwriter’s Counsel in connection with the issuance of bonds by the City of Birmingham, Alabama and the Birmingham Airport Authority. Attorney Davis has been involved in all aspects of the public financing transaction, including structuring of the transaction, proofing preliminary statements and official statements, reviewing and preparing closing documents, as well as handling municipal law, securities law and federal income taxation related to bond issues. The firm is a member of the Bond Buyer’s Municipal Marketplace (Red Book) . Our goal is to expand the area of practice in public finance by adding public finance attorneys and to serve as Sole Bond Counsel and Underwriter’s Counsel in the near future.
